My, isn’t she yar?

When my partner and I bought this property last year it came with a very sad story. As we hauled away the debris and peeled back some unfortunate updates we could see her fine bones. Through the cleaning and updating you now see her shine.

Perched on the high side of B Street, a coveted part of a neighborhood known as Bay Terrace, there are outstanding views of central and north Mare Island. It is said that this was the first planned housing development for the military. The architect was from New England, ergo the Dutch Colonial and Salt Box styles that were not really seen on the West Coast.

This property is even more unique in that there’s a deep lot with a street running at the top of the lot – making it ideal for an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU). Please read more about Vallejo’s ordinance and requirements here.

Built in 1924, it has two bedrooms, and one bath in 1,076 s.f. Updated electrical, plumbing, on-demand hot water heater, newer furnace, basement with 18” walls (great for wine storage) and a large attic. The deck calls for entertaining, the front and back yards are perfect for gardening for it is on the sunny side of the street. A block away a smaller house sold for $506 per square foot - and could not have an ADU on that lot.

If you would like to meet her in person, please fill out the form below to schedule a viewing.
